Solar Eclipse Monday April 8th
On Monday, April 8th, we have a historic solar eclipse between 10:11 am and 12:16 pm, with the peak at 11:12 pm, the moon will align with the sun, creating a partial solar eclipse. It is only a partial eclipse for us. Still, we want to remind you to keep safety in mind during this event. Looking directly at the sun, even during an eclipse, can cause serious eye damage. If students bring solar approved glasses for additional protection, we will allow students to wear them when outside. Sunglasses are not sufficient protection during an eclipse. As a school, we are not providing glasses to students and will not be allowing students to view the eclipse directly.
