Attention Families: SRUSD Student Device (Chromebooks & Hotspots) Collection

Attention SRUSD families,

All SRUSD issued Chromebooks and hotspots that were checked out to students are to be returned to your students’ school site for inventory and updates. This includes those devices that were checked out for home use during COVID. This is important to ensure that we can continue to provide equitable access to technology for all students.

The return dates for each site are as follows:
Elementary Sites: May 1st - May 12th

Middle School Sites:

Gavilan View MS: GV Chromebook Collection Start Time 8:30
8th Grade: Monday May 15th
7th Grade: Wednesday May 17th
6th Grade: Friday May 19th

John Gutierrez MS:Chromebook Collection Start Time 8:30
8th Grade: Monday May 15th
7th Grade: Thursday May 18th
6th Grade: Friday May 19th

SRUSD Internet and Phone Outage Update

Internet and Phones were back online in our schools as of 4:10 today. The IT team will continue to monitor and test connectivity prior to the start of the school day on Friday 4/14.

District Internet and Phone Outage Update

SRUSD is currently experiencing an Internet and telephone outage. Students are engaged in their classes. The issue is being tended to by our IT team. We will provide an update once we are back online.

SRUSD School Sites Closed Tuesday March 14th, 2023

Due to area flooding, substantial rainfall overnight/tomorrow, and staffing impacts this causes, all SRUSD School Sites will continue to be closed Tuesday March 14th, 2023. We are planning a full reopening Wednesday March 15h, 2023. We will keep you informed as we have updates.

SRUSD School Sites Closed Monday March 13th, 2023

Classes at all SRUSD Sites are cancelled Tomorrow March 13, 2023 for students and staff due the threat of flooding in the Salinas area, current and predicted road closures and the staffing shortages this creates.
