Gavilan View Middle School

The Santa Rita Union School District values its community:  School Board, District Leadership, Teachers, Parents, and Students.  All place significant value on the ability of SRUSD to successfully educate students within the context of a small, vibrant, and fully engaged district.  Parent and Community involvement in School Site Council (SSC), District English Learners Advisory Committee, English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC), and the Safety Committee are important parts of building our community and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to be successful.  Please see below for more information.

The Gavilan View Middle School Site Council (SSC) is a forum for teachers, administrators, students and parents, and community members.  As a forum, the School Site Council discusses and proposes solutions to issues of importance to Gavilan View Middle School. The School Site Council annually reviews and approves the school site plan.  Meeting periodically throughout the year the School Site Council can make recommendations and/or request modifications to the budget and the school-site plan that reflect the changing needs and priorities of the school.

The Gavilan View Middle School English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is a forum for teachers, administrators, students and parents, and community members. Members of the ELAC review the academic program at Gavilan View, as well as the social and academic experience of our students who are learning English. The ELAC makes recommendations to school site administration and faculty to better serve our students who are learning English.
