Hawk of the Week
Ponce Rizo
Ms. Adriana Ponce & Ms. Kassandra Rizo
This week, we’re thrilled to honor two incredible teachers, Ms. Adriana Ponce and Ms. Kassandra Rizo, as our Hawks of the Week! Voted by their peers for their outstanding efforts in organizing our school’s Día de los Muertos celebration, Ms. Ponce and Ms. Rizo brought this beautiful tradition to life for our community. Their vision, passion, and creativity inspired a vibrant celebration that embraced the rich symbolism, music, colors, and meaning behind the holiday.
These educators took the initiative to share the significance of Día de los Muertos with our students and staff, raising awareness and deepening our cultural appreciation. By involving our school community in every aspect of the event, they ensured it was not only a learning experience but also a joyful gathering enjoyed by all. Thank you, Ms. Ponce and Ms. Rizo, for your dedication and for making our school a more inclusive and culturally enriched place to be!

Native American Heritage Month
November is Native American Heritage Month, a time for us to celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Native American communities across our country. This month, we’ll be learning more about the traditions, resilience, and stories of Native American people, past and present.

Take a moment to appreciate the diversity around us and think about how each culture adds something special to our world. Let’s be curious, respectful, and open to learning together this month!.
