Student Voices

We are excited that our Black Unity Club launched last week. Students shared that their concerns at school are:
  • racism/racial slurs,
  • stereotyping,
  • bullying, and
  • judging by appearance

As a school, we are committed to addressing these concerns and working toward creating a safe and inclusive learning environment free of bias, prejudice, and racism.

Black Unity Club will continue to meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch in room 2.

Thank you to Building Healthy Communities Monterey County for bringing this club to our school!

  • Grade 6: 94.10%
  • Grade 7: 95.94%
  • Grade 8: 96.20%

We made some gains with 7th and 8th grade.

REMINDER!!!
When students are absent, they are responsible for making up the assignments they missed. It is their RESPONSIBILITY to talk to their teachers for missing work.

Every day countsβ€”let’s work together to support your child’s success by making school attendance a top priority!

Native American Heritage Month

November is Native American Heritage Month, a time for us to celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Native American communities across our country. This month, we’ll be learning more about the traditions, resilience, and stories of Native American people, past and present.

Take a moment to appreciate the diversity around us and think about how each culture adds something special to our world. Let’s be curious, respectful, and open to learning together this month!.
