iReady Diagnostic - Reading & Math
|
During these next two weeks, students will be taking the iReady diagnostic for the second time this year. This is the mid-year point that measures their progress in reading and math since we started the school year in August.
Results from this December diagnostic will determine enrollment in our reading lab and math lab classes. Students can move out of the class or may need to be moved into the class in January.
Please help us prepare students by making sure they are:
- getting ample sleep
- eating breakfast (we serve breakfast starting at 7:30am)
- arriving to school on time
Also, parents, give them encouragement to build their confidence!

This week, we’re thrilled to honor Ms. Tess Timmons, our 7th Grade English teacher and one of our ASB Directors, as Hawk of the Week! Described by her peers as a “Hawk Star,” Ms. Timmons was recognized for being amazing both inside and outside the classroom.
In her English classes, Ms. Timmons took a creative leap by incorporating skits, encouraging students to engage deeply with their reading. Her students rose to the challenge, showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm. Beyond teaching, she’s been hard at work with ASB students planning exciting events, including a school carnival, spirit weeks, and the upcoming winter formal. Ms. Timmons is truly listening to what students want, ensuring their voices are heard while excelling in her new role.
Thank you, Ms. Timmons, for your energy, innovation, and dedication to making school memorable for everyone!
