We were excited to have the students back on campus. Students came ready to get back into the swing of things. Despite reporting feeling tired as they tried to get back on their sleep schedules, the students were engaged and giving their efforts to finish 2nd quarter on a strong note.

With 3rd quarter starting this week, we are preparing for a round of schedule changes for students whose i-Ready test scores showed that they could use extra help with reading or math.
Students moving into or out of Reading Lab or Math Lab will have their new schedules on Thursday morning.

Important Notice: Scam Targeting Families in Our Community
|
Dear SRUSD Families,
We want to alert you to a concerning scam targeting families in Monterey County. Several families have reported receiving phone calls from individuals falsely claiming to represent the Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE). These callers allege that the calls are regarding their student's truancy and demand $3,000 to avoid jail time.
Please be assured that the Monterey County District Attorney's Truancy Abatement Program works with schools and families to ensure compliance with school attendance laws, and no such demands would ever be made.
To protect your family from these scams, we encourage you to:
-
Verify any claims by directly contacting your school or the Monterey County Office of Education.
-
Never provide financial or personal information to unsolicited callers.
-
Report suspicious calls to local authorities, your school district, or the Monterey County Office of Education.
Your safety and peace of mind are our priority. If you have received similar fraudulent calls or have concerns, please reach out to your school’s office or district office immediately. Together, we can stay vigilant and protect our community from these harmful schemes.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
