This week, we are excited to recognize Ms. Alex Cuevas, our amazing Library Media Technician, as our Hawk of the Week! Alex plays an essential role on campus, and this past week she took the lead on Chromebook Collection, managing the entire process with efficiency, patience, and a smile. Thanks to her organization and clear systems, students and staff experienced fewer disruptions and a smooth end-of-year process.
Throughout the school year, Alex has reimagined our library space—cleaning, reorganizing, and refreshing it to be more welcoming for students who want to read, collaborate, or simply enjoy a quiet moment.
Beyond the library, Ms. Cuevas has been a key partner with our counseling department, helping with lunchtime craft labs and campus events to promote student wellness and belonging. She has also secured multiple classroom and library resources through DonorsChoose, giving students access to materials they wouldn’t otherwise have.
Her commitment, creativity, and calm, dependable presence make her an irreplaceable part of the Gavilan View team. We’re so thankful for all she does!
