Dear Families,

We know that the holidays are a wonderful time for family connection and cultural traditions, but it is one of our concerns that student absences tend to spike in the weeks surrounding winter break. While it may be tempting to travel before or after school breaks, truancy laws continue to be in effect and those few missed days can add up to lost learning time.

We encourage all families to plan their holiday travels during scheduled breaks so your child doesn’t miss valuable instructional time.
