Dear Gavilan View Community,
|
Dear Families,
Welcome back! We hope you had a restful, safe, and joyful winter break filled with wonderful memories. We're excited to see our students' faces back on campus today, Tuesday, January 13th, as we kick off the 2026 calendar year.
As we begin the second half of the school year, we want to emphasize the importance of hitting the ground running. This second half of the year is where some of our most critical learning takes place. We encourage all students to reconnect with their academic goals, stay organized, and maintain a consistent study routine from day one.
We are excited for the months ahead and look forward to working together to ensure every student finishes the year strong!
Warmly,
Mrs. Antuna, Principal
Ms. Coronel, Assistant Principal

We are proud to announce Mr. Sam Seeno as our Hawk of the Week! Nominated by his fellow staff members, Mr. Seeno has done a spectacular job stepping into the role of ASB Director this year. Taking on such a pivotal position is no small feat, and he has shown incredible dedication to learning the ropes while ensuring that our school’s most cherished traditions remain stronger than ever.
What truly sets Mr. Seeno apart is his commitment to student voice. He meets with students daily, actively soliciting their input and ideas to ensure that school events truly reflect what the student body wants to see. His collaborative approach has not only empowered our student leaders but has also led to tangible success; thanks to his guidance and fresh fundraising strategies, our recent Popcorn Sale reached a record-breaking number of sales.
From organizing the Beach Trip and Rec Nights to coordinating Spirit Weeks, school dances, and daily lunchtime activities, Mr. Seeno and his ASB students are doing a phenomenal job. Their hard work has boosted student engagement across the board, making our campus a more vibrant and fun place to be. Thank you, Mr. Seeno, for your tireless efforts to build a community where every student can feel involved!

Attendance is important! We’ve been working really hard to minimize tardies both in the morning and students showing up to their classes late. We need your help families!
- Please talk to your children about the importance of going to school every day and showing up on time for every class!
- Also, make sure you review the information below about Sick Days and knowing when to keep your students home sick and when it’s safe to send them to school.
We hope you’re all able to stay healthy throughout this flu season.
